Through a movement based approach using non invasive exercises, bring awareness to an area of the body that is often ignored or misunderstood.
The workshop will cover some basic anatomy and physiology of the pelvis, as well as specific exercises to deepen awareness of the structure and function of the pelvic floor and learn to enhance both health and function.
Using imagery, movement, breath and postural work to deepen awareness you will experience how to relax, tone and strengthen this region and integrate these practices into work on the body as a whole. We will also learn how those muscles and their function are influenced by posture and how to find more ease and power.
This holistic approach will allow you to incorporate these practices into full body movement, your yoga practice, and your daily life.
This class is open to all and will include physical practice as well as discussion.
